Steps to prepare Kodupai keerai poriyal:
- Step 1: Buy fresh Kodupai keerai or Nattu ponnanganni keerai in your nearest vegetable market. (It’s not normal ponnanganni keerai.)
- Step 2: Take all the ingredients that I listed above.
- Step 3: For preparing, take a plate, a bowl, a knife, and a pan stirrer.
- Step 4: First, you need to cut the kodupai keerai into small pieces and wash it with clean water.
- Step 5: Take a ural or mixer. Add a small amount of milagu and 5–6 pundu pieces. Make a thick paste.
- Step 6: Grab two pieces of chilli and an onion and cut them into small pieces.
- Step 7: Now, take a steel bowl or sand pot.
- Step 8: First, put two tablespoons of sesame oil in the bowl.
- Step 9: Add a small amount of kadugu and jeera, one by one.
- Step 10: Next, add our prepared milagu pundu paste.
- Step 11: Mix it well for 30 seconds.
- Step 12: Now, add the onion and chilli pieces.
- Step 13: Add the required amount of salt. Mix it well.
- Step 14: Next, add some karuveppilai pieces.
- Step 15: Finally, add our main ingredient, kodupai keerai. Mix it well.
- Step 16: Leave it for a short amount of time.
- Step 17: After it’s sauteed, add some cut coconut pieces over the keerai.
- Step 18: That’s all; the healthiest kodupai keerai is ready.
