- Step 12: After the mottai function, the father and baby wear a new dress to get ready for the kathu kuthu function.
Kathu kuthu function procedure in English:
- Step 1: The kathu kuthu functions, followed by the same day
- Step 2: This time, the baby sits on their mama’s (or uncle’s, or sister’s brother’s) lap.
- Step 3: While the ear piercing is happening, the baby’s crying makes everyone emotional. But it brings happiness after the completion of the ear piercing procedure, and the baby looks cute.
